Alton Teaches LLC dba MicroGrinder Poker School ("us", "we", or "our") operates MicroGrinder Poker School, an online education platform (the "School").

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which the School collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users (each, a "Student") of the School. This Privacy Policy applies to the School and all Courses offered by the School.


Personal Identification Information

We may collect personal identification information (PII) from Students in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Students enroll in the School or a Course within the School, make a purchase, subscribe to a newsletter, and in connection with other activities, services, features, or resources we make available in our School. Students may visit the School anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Students only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Students can refuse to supply personal identification information, but doing so may prevent them from engaging in certain School-related activities.


Section 1 - What Do We Do With Your Information?

When you enroll in our school, purchase a course, or subscribe to receive updates, we collect the personal information you give us, such as your name, email address, and billing information.

Email marketing: With your permission, we may send you emails about our courses, new products, updates, and educational content related to poker strategy and your learning interests.


Section 2 - How We Use Collected Information

We may collect and use your personal information for the following purposes: to improve customer service, as the information you provide helps us respond to your support requests and needs more efficiently; to personalize your user experience, as we may use information in the aggregate to understand how our students as a group use the services and resources provided in our school; to process transactions and deliver the courses you have purchased; and to send periodic emails, as we may use your email address to send you information and updates pertaining to your enrollment or purchase, to respond to your inquiries, questions, or other requests, and to provide you with educational content and course announcements related to your studies.


Section 3 - Consent

How do you get my consent? When you provide us with personal information to enroll in a course, make a purchase, subscribe to our mailing list, or participate in or consume our educational content, you consent to our collection and use of it for that specific purpose only.

How do I withdraw my consent? If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing from emails using the link provided in any email we send, or by contacting us directly at support@microgrinder.com. We will process your request promptly and stop using your information for the purpose you originally consented to.


Section 4 - Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so, if you violate our Terms of Service, or if necessary to protect our rights or property.


Section 5 - Teachable & Payment Processing

Our school is hosted on Teachable, an online course platform provided by Teachable, Inc. They provide us with the infrastructure that allows us to deliver our courses and services to you. Your course data, enrollment information, and learning progress are stored through Teachable's secure data storage, databases, and platform.

If you make a purchase in our school, we use teachable:pay, which is Teachable's integrated payment processing system. All payment information is encrypted in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction and comply with legal requirements. We do not store your complete credit card information on our servers.


Section 6 - Third-Party Services

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. We use MailerLite for email marketing and newsletter delivery, and Zapier for automation of workflows between different services. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment processors and platform hosts, have their own privacy policies. We recommend that you read their privacy policies to understand how these providers will handle your personal information. Section 7 - Security

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to ensure it is not lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed. If you provide us with your credit card information, it is encrypted using secure socket layer (SSL) technology. We also utilize secure password protection, regular security updates and monitoring, and restricted access to personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.


Section 8 - Cookies

We collect cookies or similar tracking technologies. This means information that our website's server transfers to your computer. This information can be used to track your session in our school, keep you logged into your account, remember your preferences, and analyze how students use our courses. We may also use automated tracking methods on our website, in communications with you, and in our products and services, to measure performance and engagement.

If you are using one of the common Internet web browsers, you can set up your browser to either let you know when you receive a cookie or to deny cookie access to your computer. Most web browsers allow some control over cookies through browser settings. Please note that disabling cookies may limit your ability to use certain features of our school.

Please note that because there is no consistent industry understanding of how to respond to "Do Not Track" signals, we do not alter our data collection and usage practices when we detect such a signal from your browser.


Section 9 - Age of Consent

By using this site, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence, and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

Section 10 - GDPR Compliance (European Users)

We retain your personal information for as long as you maintain an active account with us, as necessary to provide you with services, or as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. When you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information, except where retention is required by law.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. Significant changes will be communicated via email when possible. Your continued use of our school after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.


Section 13 - Your Acceptance of These Terms

By enrolling in the School, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not enroll in the School. Your continued enrollment in the School following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.
